Frequently asked questions
Where are my countdowns kept?
They are stored in the DAYS app data on this iPhone. There is no DAYS account, server, or sync service. Your app data may also be present in an iPhone backup if backups are enabled.
When do reminders arrive?
You can choose the day of the event, one day before, or one week before. DAYS schedules reminders for 9:00 a.m. in your current calendar time zone. Reminders require both the DAYS Reminders switch and iOS notification permission.
Do reminders arrive when DAYS is closed?
Yes. DAYS gives the reminder to iOS in advance, so it can arrive while the app is closed. If the chosen reminder time for a one-time event has already passed, that reminder will not be scheduled.
Why did my repeating date change?
For a yearly event on February 29, DAYS uses February 28 in non-leap years and returns to February 29 in the next leap year. Monthly dates that do not exist in a shorter month use that month’s final day.
What happens if I delete the app?
The on-device DAYS data is removed with the app. If the iPhone is included in a device backup, restoring that backup may restore the data; otherwise it cannot be recovered.
Can I move countdowns to another phone?
DAYS 1.0 does not provide export or sync. Restoring a compatible iPhone backup is the only supported transfer path in this version.
How do I erase everything?
Open Settings → Privacy → Erase All Data. DAYS asks twice before deleting all countdowns and cancelling their pending reminders. This cannot be undone inside the app.
How do I change notification permission?
Open the iPhone Settings app, select DAYS, then Notifications. You can turn notifications on or off and control how previews appear.
